Join BESA for a two-day, hands-on online workshop focused on analysing EEG data from patients with epilepsy. Designed for clinical users, the workshop combines guided demonstrations with practical exercises, allowing participants to perform each analysis step as they follow the sessions.

‍

Following the BESA clinical pipeline, the programme covers the workflow from preparing individual MRI anatomy to EEG spike analysis, source localisation, and seizure onset analysis. A practical example will also demonstrate multimodal data integration.

‍

‍

During the workshop, you’ll learn to:

  • Prepare MRI data incorporating individual patient anatomy.
  • Identify, map, and average epileptiform spikes in EEG recordings.
  • Perform source localisation to estimate the origin of epileptiform activity.
  • Analyse EEG activity at seizure onset.
  • Explore multimodal integration in clinical epilepsy analysis.

‍

On Tuesday, 1 December, guest speaker Dr. Stefan Rampp, President of the International Society for the Advancement of Clinical MEG, will present on multimodal imaging in epilepsy analysis. View the BESA workshop details.
