The Digitimer DS7AP Muscle Locating Stimulator - also known as the DS7AP Peña Stimulator - is a constant current stimulator developed specifically for paediatric surgeons performing muscle localization during reconstructive procedures such as the Peña procedure, Pull-through, or PSARP (Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty). The device enables identification of the deep muscle structures required for the accurate reconstruction of the rectum and anal sphincter.
Designed to offer reliability, precision, and ease of use in the operating room, the DS7AP is currently in use in over 30 countries worldwide. It is the only stimulator cleared by the U.S. FDA for use in this surgical technique, making it a preferred and approved replacement for discontinued models such as the Radionics PS-1 or Integra PS-2.
Stimulation can be controlled either via a front panel toggle switch or with the optional D185-FS1 foot pedal. For convenience and hygiene, the system supports the use of single-use bipolar disposable probes (DS7A-DP2).
The DS7AP comes as a bundle which consists of:
