The Lumina fMRI Response System by Cedrus is MRI compatible response system designed to capture subject responses inside the MRI environment with millisecond precision. Ideal for cognitive neuroscience and psychophysiology studies, the Lumina system combines robust hardware, precise timing, and seamless integration with popular experimental control software to ensure reliable synchronization with your MR scanner and other modalities such as EEG or eye tracking.
The Lumina controller can synchronize trial onset with scanner pulses from GE, Siemens, and Philips MRI systems. It accepts both electrical and fiber optic triggers, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of MR systems. Optional optical isolation prevents electrical interference between the scanner and the controller.
The system features a high-resolution built-in timer with sub-millisecond latency:
Lumina outputs signals simultaneously to:
With support for SuperLab, E-Prime, Presentation, Matlab, Inquisit, and more, the Lumina system ensures broad compatibility. Its Keyboard Mode (HID) also enables use with virtually any software, with no drivers required.
Record the precise onset of visual stimuli using an optional light sensor. This signal can reset the internal timer, improving the accuracy of visual event time-stamping.
Use one or two fiber-optic response pads (up to five buttons each), designed specifically for MRI use. Pads are made entirely from plastic and fiber optics for safety and compliance.
Only Lumina offers full integration with Cedrus m-pod and StimTracker, enabling synchronization across fMRI, EEG, eye tracking, and more. Send event markers to your recording system for every scanner trigger, button press, or stimulus onset.
Lumina offers extensive support for experimental software, including:
Whether you're conducting fMRI-only studies or synchronizing multimodal research involving EEG, eye tracking, or behavioral data, the Lumina system provides the precision, flexibility, and compatibility researchers need for accurate and reproducible results.
