The NIBP100E is a high-performance, noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP) monitoring system that provides continuous, beat-to-beat measurements of systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressure (MAP), along with real-time pulse rate (PR). Designed for research applications that demand accuracy and reliability, the system delivers a continuous blood pressure waveform that closely resembles a direct arterial pressure signal—without the invasiveness of catheterization.

Powered by CNAP™ technology and fully integrated with AcqKnowledge, the NIBP100E is an ideal solution for researchers requiring real-time cardiovascular data acquisition. For those who also need hemodynamic parameters such as cardiac output (CO), cardiac index (CI), stroke volume (SV), and systemic vascular resistance (SVR), the enhanced NIBP100E-HD model is also available.

Real-Time Monitoring, Simple Setup

The NIBP100E system is designed to be user-friendly and fast to set up. Initial calibration takes less than three minutes and includes placing a standard blood pressure cuff on the upper arm and fitting a dual-finger sensor. The finger sensor is easy to position—subjects simply slide two fingers into the comfortable cuff system. Calibration is automatic and adjusts to heart level for optimal accuracy.

During longer recordings, the system switches between fingers to relieve pressure from the occluded digit and automatically re-calibrates. This rotation interval is user-configurable and can be extended up to 60 minutes.

The system uses a refined version of the Penáz vascular unloading technique, allowing continuous noninvasive measurements directly from the finger. Concentric control loops ensure long-term accuracy, even during extended studies.

Software Integration and Signal Analysis

Once set up, the NIBP100E works seamlessly with AcqKnowledge software to display blood pressure waveforms and derived values in real time. The software provides beat-to-beat analysis and includes routines to estimate cardiac output from the blood pressure waveform. The system supports analog output and is compatible with MP200, MP160, and MP150 data acquisition modules, allowing integration with a wide range of physiological signals.

Researchers benefit from immediate visual feedback and real-time data recording, making the system ideal for both short-term tests and long-duration studies. AcqKnowledge offers extensive analysis features, including signal review tools, event marking, and export options for advanced post-processing.

Clinically Validated Accuracy

The combination of the double-finger sensor and upper-arm cuff calibration ensures highly accurate blood pressure readings. Validation studies have shown a high level of agreement with invasive arterial measurements in terms of waveform fidelity, accuracy, and consistency. The system is widely used in clinical and academic research, and its proven performance makes it a trusted tool for cardiovascular monitoring.
