DSI-VR300

DSI-VR300

Wearable Sensing
Optimized for P300, SSVEP, and BCI research in immersive VR environments

The DSI-VR300 from Wearable Sensing is the first active dry EEG system with fully integrated virtual reality support, offering researchers a high-fidelity, gel-free EEG solution tailored for P300, SSVEP, and other visual evoked potential paradigms. Designed for seamless compatibility with HTC Vive and Meta Quest headsets (please enquire for other VR headset), the DSI-VR300 allows real-time brain activity monitoring during immersive VR experiences.

With sensors positioned at the back of the head for enhanced visual cortex signal capture, and setup times of under 1 minute, the DSI-VR300 empowers researchers to explore neurophysiology in ecologically valid, real-world, or virtual environments—without compromising on comfort, signal quality, or mobility.

The system comes as a package and includes:

  • EEG headset with an adjustable head strap to fit a wide range of head sizes
  • Dry and Active EEG electrodes with Faraday cage
  • Full accessory kit (including batteries, charger, Bluetooth adapter, etc.)
  • Acquisitions software (DSI-Streamer)
  • C-based API for Windows, Mac, Linux
  • LSL and TCP/IP streaming
  • HTC-Vive SDK for VR integration

The DSI-VR300 can further interface with other applications such as:

  • NeuroGuide / BrainSurfer (Neurofeedback software)
  • EEGLAB / ERPLAB / BCILAB
  • Mensia Neuro RT / OpenVibe
  • TEA Ergo CAPTIV
  • BCI2000
  • Presentation (Neurobehavioral Systems) / E-Prime (Psychology Software Tools) / Inquisit (Millisecond)

System Features

  • VR-Optimized EEG Sensor Layout
Rear-positioned dry electrodes are specifically designed for visual EEG paradigms such as P300 and SSVEP, making the VR300 ideal for BCI, neuropsychology, and cognitive neuroscience applications in VR.
  • Seamless VR Integration
Compatible with HTC Vive, Meta Quest, Unity, and Unreal Engine. Includes Neurable’s P300 VR API and an HTC Vive SDK for creating closed-loop, brain-interactive VR applications.
  • Dry and Active Electrodes
Low-impedance, gel-free electrodes with two-stage amplification and a Faraday cage for optimal signal quality and motion artifact suppression—even through thick or curly hair.
  • All-in-One Wireless EEG System
With integrated amplifiers, digitization, batteries, wireless communication, and onboard storage, the DSI-VR300 is a fully mobile EEG system, perfect for lab and field-based research.
  • Rapid Setup and Cleaning
Setup time is under 1 minute. Electrodes clean in 1 minute and dry within 3 minutes, ensuring high throughput and minimal downtime between participants.
  • Comfortable, Adjustable Fit
Multiple adjustment points and a foam-padded interior ensure a secure and comfortable fit across a wide range of head shapes for sessions up to 8 hours.
  • Robust Artifact Rejection
Combines mechanically stable spring-loaded electrodes, common-mode follower circuitry, and a Faraday cage to reduce environmental and motion artifacts.
  • Data Acquisition & Developer Tools
Includes DSI-Streamer (free, unlimited licenses) for acquisition and export to .CSV or .EDF formats. Also includes a C-based API for Windows, macOS, Linux, and ARM platforms, plus LSL and TCP/IP streaming support.
  • Embedded 3D Accelerometers (optional)
Monitor motion and head orientation during VR-based tasks for advanced analysis or artifact correction.
  • Wireless Triggering
Synchronize with other devices for ERP studies, hyperscanning, or BCI systems using wireless triggers.
  • Real-Time Cognitive Classification
Supports QStates, a real-time machine learning module for tracking cognitive states like mental workload, engagement, and fatigue.
