Grael 4K PSG:EEG

Compumedics
High-Resolution Amplifier System for Sleep and Neurophysiology Research

The Grael 4K PSG:EEG system from Compumedics Neuroscan is a fully integrated amplifier platform designed for comprehensive polysomnography (PSG) and electroencephalography (EEG) studies. It delivers high-resolution data acquisition across a broad range of clinical and research applications, offering 24-bit resolution on all channels and a sampling rate of up to 4096 Hz. With a compact design and streamlined cable management, Grael 4K simplifies setup while ensuring exceptional signal quality.

Developed for both clinical and research environments, Grael 4K PSG:EEG meets the requirements of full PSG investigations—supporting all standard and auxiliary inputs for sleep staging, respiratory monitoring, limb movement detection, and EEG-based neurological assessments. The system seamlessly integrates with Compumedics' Profusion Sleep and Profusion EEG software suites, enabling flexible study protocols, advanced data review, and efficient scoring workflows.

Grael systems are currently in use in major sleep and neuroscience centers worldwide and have been validated for applications ranging from routine clinical sleep diagnostics to advanced ERP and cognitive neuroscience experiments.

Grael System Models – Overview

While the Grael 4K PSG:EEG model provides comprehensive functionality for both sleep and EEG applications, the Grael platform is available in three additional versions to suit different clinical and research use cases:

  • Grael 4K EEG: Optimized for full EEG/ERP research, this version omits the PSG-specific channels but includes advanced triggering and synchronization features essential for cognitive studies and event-related paradigms.
  • Grael LT EEG: A cost-effective and compact alternative, the Grael LT is designed for routine clinical EEG with a smaller channel count and streamlined feature set. Ideal for long-term monitoring and hospital EEG departments.
  • Grael PSG: Tailored for dedicated sleep studies, this model includes all PSG-relevant inputs but omits the full EEG/ERP feature set. It is suitable for sleep laboratories focusing on diagnostic PSG.

Each model is built on the same underlying hardware platform, ensuring consistency in signal quality, software compatibility, and usability across different research and clinical domains.
