DSI-Streamer is the dedicated acquisition software developed by Wearable Sensing to empower researchers with real-time, wireless physiological data collection. Tailored for use with the DSI series EEG systems, DSI-Streamer offers a powerful, intuitive interface to capture, visualize, and manage EEG and auxiliary biosignals with exceptional flexibility and minimal setup time.

Designed to handle both simple and complex research protocols, DSI-Streamer ensures that high-quality physiological recordings are accessible to neuroscience, cognitive research, BCI development, sports science, and human factors applications.

  • Real-time data acquisition with visualization of EEG, accelerometer, ECG, EDA/GSR, EOG, and other sensor streams at ultra-low latency.
  • Multi-system support for simultaneous recording from multiple DSI headsets, enabling dual-subject or group studies (hyperscanning).
  • Event marker and annotation support with manual entry or automatic triggers.
  • Native support for Lab Streaming Layer (LSL) to stream data into third-party applications like MATLAB, Python, Unity, OpenViBE, and BCI2000.
  • Flexible data export formats including EDF and CSV for offline analysis.
  • External trigger input for precise synchronization with experimental stimuli.
  • Real-time visualization tools for EEG signals, motion sensor data, battery status, and signal quality.
  • Artifact monitoring features to detect and identify motion or contact artifacts during acquisition.
  • Robust buffering to protect against data loss during temporary wireless interruptions.

Compatibility

DSI-Streamer is fully compatible with all the Wearable Sensing EEG systems, including:

  • DSI-24 (24-channel wireless EEG)
  • DSI-7 / DSI-7 Flex (7-channel wireless EEG)
  • DSI-VR300 (for EEG + virtual reality experiments)
  • DSI-EEG+fNIRS (multi-modal wireless EEG+fNIRS)

Additionally, DSI-Streamer features network streaming allowing users to stream EEG and other physiological data real-time to third-party software and Lab Streaming Layer (LSL).

Runs on Windows operating systems (please inquire for latest OS compatibility).

C/C++/Python API is available upon request.
